Gaucho Deluxe

Beautiful gypsy jazz record of old timey songs. Lately there is talk of a vinyl re-issue of this one, where we will better credit the songwriters of these old gems.

True to the name of the record, we went for a Western theme with a hare and loads of texture–made to feel old, hot, and moody, maybe even a little kitschy. Created with walnut ink, monoprint, and vintage papers.

An oldie but goodie now, this design was chosen for the 2007 Print Regional Design Annual and has been used by the band on everything from a drumhead, matchbooks, tee shirts, you name it–someday I’ll photograph it all!
